Posted October 16, 2018 03:13:13It can be hard to tell if your child is having a hard time chewing up their own vomit, but if your daughter’s eating her vomit, you should do something to help.
In case you missed it, we recently published an article about how to help a young girl who was choking on her vomit and was also struggling with a stomach virus.
In it, the authors suggested a quick trick to help prevent her choking.
The solution is simple.
If you can’t stop her from eating the vomit, don’t do anything.
The article goes on to say:You may find it difficult to do this without the help of a medical professional, but the simple solution is to put a plastic bag on the floor or other surface where the vomit can be seen, and place the plastic bag around the choking victim’s neck.
This will prevent her from choking on the vomit.
You may also want to consider putting a cloth over the victim’s mouth or tongue to keep the vomit out.
While we can’t guarantee that your child won’t choke on her own vomited vomit, this should be an option.
